Registration is now open!
Registration is now open for the 2026 Paddle in Paradise dragon boat festival! It is taking place on Saturday, July 18th with Sunday, July 19th as the alternate date. Anyone can enter a team - gather your family, friends, co-workers, fellow sport competitors! You will need 18 paddlers (16 paddlers and 2 spares) and a drummer. Don't miss out on the fun!

We're Paddling in France!
The Avalon Dragons are sending a team to Aix-les-Bains at the heart of the French Alps for the 2026 IBCPC Participatory Dragon Boat Festival . What an experience this will be! It takes place from the 24th to the 30th of August. With our own Paddle in Paradise Festival taking place on July 18th, this promises to be an intense training season and we are up to the challenge!

Planning Day 2026
January brings blustery days and cold temperatures but it also allows time to reflect on the previous year and plan for the upcoming paddling season. The annual Planning Day brought the Avalon Dragons together for a day of focused discussions, inspirational moments, warmth and camaraderie, with a fabulous pot luck lunch to boot!
