The Dragons Abreast team from Toronto must have wondered what was in store for them during their trip here when someone mentioned a "screech-in". They came for a dragon boat festival which was sadly cancelled but they went for hikes, did yoga on the beach, had some dragon boat fun on the water and yes, bravely took part in a Screech-In ceremony at Banished Brewing. Who doesn't love kissing a cod? They showed what being a good sport is all about! The ceremony was conducted by our very own Avalon Dragon Linda Hennebury, who made sure each visitor left feeling they were honorary residents of Newfoundland and Labrador. Here's to the next festival and "long may your big jib draw"!
